KEYSTONE PRESS AWARD

I received my B.A. in journalism and political science in 2008 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, but my proudest work in college

was for the campus paper, The Penn.

During my junior year, I was honored with a Keystone Press Award for a series of investigative stories on the college's student government. I received the award from Bob Heisse, president of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association.

The next semester, I was hired by The Penn to write a weekly political column, which became one of the paper's most popular features.
